Poll question: For those of you who remain undecided or uncommitted to the announced candidates ...... |
|
Edited on Tue Jul-24-07 02:34 PM by Husb2Sparkly
..... is your candidate on this list?
Al Gore Wesley Clark
No need to name your candidate ...... in fact, I prefer not so as to keep this poll on point and not off on a tangent about whether or not Gore invented the internet. :eyes:

1. the best I can do right now is: maybe |
|
I just started Al Gore's "The Assault on Reason."
I'll get back to you when I've finished it.
As for Wes Clark, and I hold his DU supporters in the highest possible esteem, I remain concerned about whether Clark would take on the corporate stranglehold on our government and its imperialistic foreign policies and its pro-corporate domestic policies.. I'd need to see some very specific examples to be convinced that he sees the problem in ways similar to the way I see it.
We need a second American Revolution, hopefully peaceful. I'm just not sure Clark agrees with this. I hope I'm wrong about that.

2. Feingold, Bradley, or even Kerry would be great |
|
but if Gore ran, I would probably back him in the primary.

4. Surely you know that if Gore or Clark had decided to run it would have |
|
to be before now, so that they could line up their organizational strength across the country? I wish people would understand this. It is mere naivete to think/dream that Gore or Clark could just magically jump into the fray, with no campaign infrastructure in the states to secure their winning. Gore certainly knows this from his own experience, and Clark is too smart not to know it. I wish he HAD gotten in awhile back because I supported him during his brief campaign in 04, but it is obvious that other candidates have captured the slots.
Folks, I know how much you wish upon those stars, but it isn't going to happen, at least not in 08. I sympathize and I know it's a damn shame, but this is all just a waste of time.
