The best question of the night!

For me, a teacher, it was the NCLB question. There were MANY questions about NCLB sent in from all over the country, and they chose one. This one. From TRONA, of all places! If, like most of the U.S., you have never heard of, seen, or been to, Trona, I'll tell you that it is a stinky little town in the Mojave Desert. Stinky because of the tiny towns major (only, when I was there) industry, mining potash, borax, etc..

My thanks to blackturtleus for putting the question so well, and for offering up the best question of the night. I'm only sorry that ALL the candidates weren't given time to respond.

1. My favorite was if they would work for the minimum wage

while pResident. I was hoping one of them would say they would give all their wages to poor families but no one did.

2. That was a good question.

Basically, they all said they would work for the minimum wage. I don't know if that is a good idea or not; congresspeople working for the minimum wage might be a lot more likely to take bribes, for example. Still, the best response was Gravel's, with a call for a living wage.
