Iran, Syria and others. She said the groundwork would have to be laid first and she was not going to PROMISE that she would talk to the leaders of these countries in her first year in office. It's quite a leap to say with certainty that she would not talk to them. She just is not going to make a PROMISE that she might not be able to keep for a number of reasons. The Dems always fall victim to the media framing and re-framing our issues and misrepresenting what our candidate say. But if Hillary can't fix this with the unthinking public it will cost her. I think that diplomacy with other nations is complex, and after 7 years of an idiot president who refuses to talk with other nations, I realize many countries will be anxious to repair relations with the US. And of course that is a good thing, but it will be a delicate balance.
