We`re all Michael Vick dogs to the Republican political machine |
|
The Republican political machine and its pro-oligarchy operatives have no use for democracy. You`re either with them or against them, and if you`re against them they`d just as soon destroy you as look at you. That goes for a decorated Vietnam War combat veteran, a volunteer up to her ankles in filthy hurricane water, a desperate father pleading for continuation of stem cell research, or an NYPD fireman gasping for his post-9/11 breath. They....like you and I....are as dispensable as a pack of Michael Vick dogs. Just ask Karl Rove, the frightening speciman corporate media call "a genius" as his minions don`t even bother to hide the fact they just body slammed another canine to the death mat.
Your rights mean nothing to these fascists, not your voting rights, not your privacy rights, not your free speech rights....not even your freedom to worship as you see fit rights. "My way or the highway" is a foolishly simplified way of describing their intentions. They`re downright dangerous and anti-American. Imagine people so devious they would lie about reasons for war. Lie about why Soldier X got half his face blown off. Lie about Iraqi civilian deaths. Lie about Jessica Lynch. Lie about Pat Tillman. Lie about White Phosphorus. And all the while they`re lying, they`re eating fresh oysters and riding their mountain bikes and going on retreats. It makes me want to throw up.
Our laws mean nothing to them. They`ve invaded our telephones, computers and bank records. If they decide you need a ride on a torture plane, they`ll snatch you off a street and you may never be heard from again. They take photographs at your peace marches and slither into Quaker Meetings. No matter how many times you choose between watching Paris Hilton or a Harry Potter book segment, you`re not free. NOT FREE. Better pray you never get caught up in one of their stacked courts.
Voters` inaction regarding this national crisis, this national disgrace, is astounding. I can not begin to understand why we aren`t all out on the streets demanding an end to this diabolical administration and its total, complete lack of respect for the citizens it is supposed to serve.
