Security Experts: Barack is ready to lead
Barack is "ready to lead," say prominent security experts in a letter released today.

Experts from the State Department, the Army, and the Navy write that Barack is the country's best choice for commander in chief.

The experts include former Senior State Department Official Greg Craig, former Secretary of the Navy Richard Danzig, and Major General Scott Gration (ret.).

Barack's debate performance last night showed that he "has the best understanding of how to deal with the complex challenges that America faces in the world," the experts write.

And Barack was right to oppose the Iraq war from the start.

"The right time to consider how to end a war is before it begins," they writte.

Americans want real change and strong leadership. "Last night, Senator Obama showed that he is the candidate who is ready to lead," say the experts.

4. Yeah - They Probably Didn't Read It Before they Signed!
And anyway, what do Generals know about war?

7. If this happened to Hillary, you'd wave it around as proof of her credentials...
yet with Obama, it's "talking points".

12. Yeah repeating word for word what his campaign is saying aren't really talking points.
I'm sure the generals came about the Reagan reference on their own.

Or the campaign whipped up the letter and the generals signed it.

8. Biden certainly has proven he is not ready to lead.
His idea of the U.S. splitting Iraq into 3 regions smacks of colonialism and will make us even more hated for generations.

Why do you support such a man?

9. Biden has a legitimate, reasonable solution to Iraq's political crisis
Of course, I would not expect you to say anything positive about a Democrat, other than a few token nods in favor of Obama...

10. Biden is beholden to the credit card industry.
No need to get nasty just because another DUer doesn't like him.

I don't like him either.

17. The three mentioned in the OP are already involved in the Obama campaign to some extent.
It isn't like they were retired dignitaries who stepped up to defend Obama. They were given their instructions and like good soldiers they followed their orders.

For example, former Senior State Department Official Greg Craig announced his support for Obama in March ...

... and and became one of his foreign policy advisors.

http://www.barackobama.com/2007/05/10/obama_taps_influential_foreign.php

Just Google their names with "Obama" to see the connections.

Now, Clinton has quite a collection of endorsements from retired foreign policy experts and military personnel as well.

18. Gosh the Obama camp seems a tad defensive...
Getting their meager list of "Security Experts" that have been with the campaign for months to come to his defense...
