Flip flop or some variation is a charge I've heard for decades. If a person has changed their position, they need to explain why. If they didn't change, they need to get their record out.

Swiftboating was a campaign of lies - not about a Senatorial record - but about a 35 year old war record. The media was quilty in ignoring that the SBVT, who had proven ties to Bush, provided not one piece of proof to counter the official record that had been vetted by Nixon for stuff to discredit Kerry with.

Swiftboating is not:
- talking about hair cuts
- flip flopping
- negative criticism
- examining Presidential pardons
