Send your Congress member a TEA bag asking them to IMPEACH!
Our letters, phone calls & emails don't seem to be doing much good on this front. So I suggest we each send our Congress members a TEA bag w/a note DEMANDING IMPEACHMENT. Maybe this will get their attention.

If we flood them w/tea bags, maybe they will get the message! They will actually have to DEAL w/all the bags & it will force them to THINK about it!

Just my latest deseparate idea. T-

What do y'all think?

3. I think that they'll get held up at the mail security checkpoints.
(The ones set up after the anthrax scare.) The tea bags'll probably get removed and the notes sent on without them. Believe me, I'm not trying to rain on your parade. I'm just saying what I think would happen.

7. Mail takes forever to get checked and to the Hill, so better e-mail a picture of

a tea bag. Or FAX if they have a FAX number.

Hell, you could lay tea bags all over your scanner and send them a whole sheet of photos!

I guess you should leave some room to write IMPEACH, though.

9. Did you see the 2 women on Donny's "Big Idea" who mail greetings
written on the outside of a rubber ball? They take the balls to the PO and mail them off as greetings to the recipient. They found out the PO has to accept any item for mailing without a box or wrapping.

So I would suggest finding the largest possible teabag, address it to your rep and mail it off. You wouldn't be hiding the fact that it is a teabag so it should pass security.

12. Interesting. So
if I wanted to sent a sweater in the mail, I just address it & present it to the PO unwrapped & they must accept it?

10. Send the little tag from the teabag instead of the bag itself.
It's about the size of a stamp which makes it even more appropriate as a metaphor for a tax stamp on tea and ties it right to the whole concept of no taxation without representation.

Glue it to almost anywhere on a letter to your representative. Once they start seeing a bunch of these they'll begin to wonder what's up. Eventually the clue might start to sink in that a movement is growing and a call for change has arrived.

We should also begin sticking these little tags to any place we can. Imagine a bunch of these stuck to the doors of congress critters (using the harmless 3m or other brand little two sided sticky things that can easily be removed so nobody gets a vandalism charge) whenever any of us pay them a visit.

I'll be writing a letter this week and will attach one of these little tags to each copy sent out.

The new tea party has begun!
