Pretty Formidable in Pink
Edited on Wed Jul-25-07 10:41 AM by William769
Toward the end of the CNN-YouTube debate Monday night, the Democratic candidates were put through the goofy exercise of saying one thing they liked, and one thing they didn't, about the candidate standing to their left.

At his turn, John Edwards faced Hillary Clinton and said he admired what she and her husband had done for America. Then he offered a joking appraisal of the senator's coral pink quilted jacket: "I'm not sure about that coat."

Barack Obama, ever the conciliator, joined in. "I actually like Hillary's jacket," he said. "I don't know what's wrong with it."

Clinton laughed it off. "John, it's a good thing we're ending soon," she said.

My favorite quote of the article is "I spent part of the debate looking at Clinton, a flamingo among the dark-suited crows, pondering the jacket."

1. Shocked and Surprised
I'm shocked and surprised that the media didn't latch unto this as a high level attack on Hillary by Edwards, and Hillary's laugh as a sneering, threatening smile.
The media, except for the comedy channel...and E inadvertently...has NO sense of humor. Everything is an attack. Dumbnuts.
The BIG manufactured 'fight' between Obama and Hillary is just stupid.

Our media has crossed the line. It may surprise them to know that the candidates in a debate are suppose to disagree and explain their position. That's the goal of debates. The debates aren't scheduled so that these media outlets can manufacture news by taking comments and touting them as 'attacks', the replies as 'counters'.
I'm sick of this whole new breed of media blabbermouths. I must say, they do have imagination. It's all made up news.

:wtf: OVER!?!

On Edit: Yes, this "flamingo among the crows" line is about as attractive as "Pink Flamingos" the 1972 movie ... with side belly laugh of the "Scratch and Sniff" cards from "Polyester."

Oh man, this is getting real DEEP. :spray:

4. True and it also isn't HRC that brings up the following that is AS RELEVANT to the ELECTION

Awe, 1972 flick "Pink Flamingos." ;)

They just don't make it any more alluring than Devine, yes Devine.

That is, The Original Trailer-Tacky Barf-O-Rama. :wow:

I concur that "pink flamingo" is a just Devine color for HRC to wear. :P

6. Yes, and we all love to *over play* the irrelevant - "Clothing" - gay and straight alike :-)
My major point is that you are OVER-PLAYING the "feminine" thingy - it's sort of shameless. ;)

Edwards brought it up, it was reported on and I posted it. How is that over playing it?

ON EDIT: be very careful who you use to try to make someone look bad, it will come back to bite you in the ass.

10. What you consider as "classy," some of us considers "inane and irrelevant" beyond absurdity.
I can be a bitch - but I try my best not to go there to set up CAMP. ;) :hi:
