FRANKLIN, N.H. - Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney lashed out at his top Democratic rivals Wednesday, saying their liberal views are out of step with the nation.

The former Massachusetts governor was particularly biting in his assessment of New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, the Democratic front-runner.

"I don't think Hillary Clinton could get elected president of France with her platform. France is moving toward us," Romney told voters at a senior citizens center.

"I'm convinced that America is going to change course and the question is which way it is going to go: Are we going to take a sharp left turn represented by Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama and John Edwards, or are we going to march forth with the American values that have always helped us be the strongest nation on earth. And I believe we'll do the latter," Romney said.

My favorite part is the France comments... Priceless - seriously, does this guy think this is 1986? He reminds me of Reagan, without the Evangelical backing. What a horrible candidate. I think we're wise to concentrate our attention on Giuliani, Thompson and McCain. Does anyone here think Romney is a real contender, not just one with 15% because Repubs don't like any of the other 3 guys?

1. What are the nation's views?
I hear a lot about national security, but having purportedly lax state and federal computer security and hiring H1Bs without background checks...

Tell the people what the official views are. Right now we're all confused.

2. Start the clock! How long before he denies lashing out?
Even when shown the proof he lashed out?

4. Same old rhetoric from GOP scum bags on behalf of corporate america
First it was the communism, then it is the terrorism, now it is terrorism and communism again. The GOP party has nothing else to offer except free reign to corporate america to rob and steal from the lower economic class using a variety of rhetorical devices...while its corporate benefactors laugh all the way to the bank.

12. Show me the Republican that will represent the common person.
They are shills for corporate America. They use abortion, war and fear to attract the weak.

One of their great scams is to claim to represent small business. The Democrats are a much more natural for small business. Dems should begin to court small business. But the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is in the Republicans' back pocket.
