Feinstein to throw her support to Clinton today, campaign sources say
Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Rodham Clinton, bolstering what appears to be an increasingly formidable campaign operation in delegate-rich California, will announce her endorsement by Democratic U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein, California's senior senator, today, sources close to the campaign have said.

The endorsement of the New York senator's presidential bid by Feinstein -- one of the state's most popular politicians -- swells what is now a growing list of recent Clinton supporters among key Democratic political figures in the nation's most populous state. They include Rep. Ellen Tauscher of Walnut Creek and Assemblyman Sandré Swanson of Alameda, who announced his support for Clinton this week.

2. you know the drill

"feinstein is obviously an enemy shill". :eyes:

it's impossible for the pure hearted to support her. there
is obviously something evil afoot.

18. I mean this in the most constructive way possible, but . . .

there are some people that are going to have to just get over the IWR vote.

there is a very real chance that HRC is going to get the nomination, and
I think some people need to decide if they are willing to destroy the
party over it.

I see some serious flirtation with suicide (metaphorically speaking) over
this.

19. for some its hard getting over the current 10,000 dead people a month.
I see it as genocide. and a crime against humanity.

21. the war is a dead letter
most of the rethugs don't even support the damn thing anymore.

and our entire slate of candidates support ending it, the only
disagreement being over how quickly.

rehashing this one single issue from the past with the sense of
vengeance and out and out hatred that I am detecting is flatly
and completely unproductive.

I want the white house in 2008, and cannibalism during the primaries
is probably a very good way to keep that from happening.

22. it's not about hate, it's about common decency, common sense.
Edited on Wed Jul-25-07 02:38 PM by Tom Joad
but we can go on about the clinton's love of media monopolies (telecommunication act)
love of nafta/wto unfair trade.
support for death penalty and ending constitutional protections (limiting appeals, so that even the WaPo is reporting that an innocent man may very well be executed soon.
anti-poor welfare "reform".

but voting for the IWR was so incredibly stupid and hurtful to the nation, so against what millions of progressive people wanted, you can't help to hold that against anyone.

and she doesn't even have the decency to apologize. or commit to removing all troops out of iraq.
arrogance & war without end.

23. can you really "apologize" for genocide?

does apologizing for crimes against humanity (your words) make it
all better?

aren't you trying to have this both ways?

26. this is ridiculous
hillary should be burned at the stake, and her ashes shot into
outer space because she supported "crimes against humanity",
however, complete absolution is available to everyone who's
name isn't "Hillary" via the simple act of apology.

laughable. as I said, you simply cannot have this both ways.

it's increasingly obvious to me that many of the anti-hillaryites'
problem with her, whatever it is, has nothing to do with the IWR.
they are just hiding behind it.

3. Good Endorsement
She is pretty popular. But what she should really go for is Boxer's endorsement, since she is more liberal and so are primary voters.

4. This is not a suprise - Feinstein is a major Emily's List player
and Emily's List is way on board with getting Hillary elected.

I would not be suprised if the other democratic women - most all who have received major support from Emily's List - will probably also support Ms. Clinton

deadly sanctions is deadly sanctions. the continued war against iraq has killed so many... and it never let up... from bush the first to bush the second and in between.

Is that the same D. Feinstein who was on the Intelligence Committee and voted "yes" on the IWR anyway?
The same D. Feinstein who has become the Wingnut Princess for this: http://www.mcclatchydc.com/homepage/story/18143.html ?

16. Plenty of Reps hwo voted no on the IWR have endorsed her...
Not sure that has any bearing...

Jim McGovern, probably one of the most anti-war Reps in Congress endorsed her...specifically because of her current position on the war.
