What makes Romney more qualified to be president than Obama?
He's been nothing but a one term governor who opted not to run for re-election cause he'd lose. How come the media never labels him a 'lightweight'? I'm not sure what he's done that so qualifies him to lead the free world. I don't recall him ever going on any trip overseas or meeting world leaders. I think there there's definitely some double standards going on and I wish someone in the media would call this out.

1. it wasn't because he'd lose, it was because once he was in, he had
zero interest in the state, and the entire candidacy back then was about a stepping stone to the whitehouse.

still, dumbfuck republicans gotta have their pretty boys

2. He's actually completed that term, for starters.
For another, being a governor is a lot more akin to being President than is a Senator. It's the difference between having experience with executive authority over legislative, which is a very wide experience gap.

I think Romney is a bit of a lightweight as well, but I don't think it's a double standard. Obama is much greener than Romney.

3. Obama has more foreign policy experience than Romney and Ghouliani combined
However, the answer to your question is executive experience. Romney gets a free pass on experience because he was a governor of a significant state.

6. If Obama was a one-term governor of Illinois
I think the media still wouldn't give him a free pass.

7. What makes Rudy or Fred more qualified to be president than Obama?
Rudy has very little foreign policy experience despite how often he likes to shoot his big mouth off.

Fred was a mediocre, lazy senator who keeps switching back and forth between being a politician and an actor.

John McCain is the most qualified of the current GOP candidates and his campaign is going down the toilet (and rightfully so).
