Ok, I'll surprise many and detail how I would support Clinton in the primary |
|
If she would commit to taking Kucinich as a Veep.
That way, both "extremes" in the democratic party would have some representation.
Whomever wins the primary I will wholeheartedly support, but Clinton and another DLCer as veep would be a distasteful choice for me, since it would push the party further right than I feel the country needs at this point in time.

1. LOL. I couldn't begin to guess where you were headed with this one. |
|
Your position makes sense to me, although I will add that I wish I could honestly say that Hillary represented the extreme of her end of the spectrum, because then a number of our current blue dog Democrats would have had to significantly improve to not be seen to her right.

2. thanks. It just occurred to me today that I like everything Kucinich stands for |
|
but I do not think he'd win the nomination. If Clinton took him as veep, she'd win over ALL the democrats.

3. Clinton will win over all the Democrats regardless of her VP. |
|
Who else are we going to vote for? I keep hearing Giuliani is liberal, and I guess he has a better shot then Nader. :eyes:

12. I might vote for her, but she will never win me over. |

Has she apologized for voting for Bush's war yet? .... I don't think so.

4. I'd support that..as long as.. |
|
The roles are reversed.Hillary can be veep,Kooch should be pres.Agreeing to Hillary on the ticket at all is a HUGE concession for me,but I'd agree to it to get a decent candidate to vote for....(a decent candidate for a change).

Kucinich supporters would be HIGHLY suspect of any alliance with Senator Clinton, especially as a VP.
The Kucinich campaign would NEVER want to play second fiddle to the Clinton team. After all the rhetoric that Kucinich has said and his positions, they would completely clash with Clinton's history.
And believe me, the Clinton campaign would absolutely not want to have Kucinich on the ticket. Appearances if anything...they strike me as a branding/marketing team looking for the most market-tested, focus group-approved VP choice...and Kucinich is not even on the list.
Hence the pancakes doised in paint thinner analogy...
