We had the you tube debate- now why not the BLOGGER DEBATE, whats your opinion ? |
|
Edited on Thu Jul-26-07 02:03 AM by caligirl
Who knows the issues better than folks at TPM, Think Progress, America Blog, Du or Daily Kos and many others. A debate between the candidates and the bloggers engaged in a live exchange of ideas and debate the issues.
Who would ask more information revealing questions than the bloggers? Who could engage the candidates in a more lively and rich debate of our pressing issues?
The candidates are intune with the blogosphere now.
We raise millions for our chosen candidates and work countless hours at our own expense to get them elected.
Why shouldn't we have a BLOGGERS DEBATE with our eight democratic candidates?

3. The staff for candidates would still want the questions filtered...,, |
|
Even on the You Tube debate, the questions were mostly generalities, picked over by Dem staffs. You still don't see any in depth questions on Trade, immigration, health plans, etc. This keeps the big money candidiates on top, with no need to expose themselves to those tough issues that make life better for the average citizen.

4. More importantly, there's no cross examination |
|
Even if you ask specific questions, candidates can get away with answering in generalities so long as nobody is allowed to call them on it.
