Repost: Bush devastation of America - Accidental or deliberate?
I ran across this archived thread from almost 2 years ago when going through my archived bookmarks. It’s a topic with which most of us are familiar, but for many who are finally recognizing The American Nightmare may still be puzzled about WHY it's taking place. Ironically, the poster who started the thread has since been tombstoned – I hope just from a momentary lapse of good judgment by posting something over the top. Some good responses that were already prescient or at least on target.

Here's the OP:

After viewing the massive damage to the United States in the past 5 years, I've started to wonder -

Has this damage to our nation been accidental, as in BushCo are merely horribly, horrendously incompetent?

Or was there a plan to destroy America? Perhaps Bush has an arrangement to escape to Saudi Arabia when he's stolen all the cash he can steal? So naturally, he'd want to turn Iraq into a war zone to have a convenient source of untraceable cash to draw from (WHERE did that 9 billion in cold, hard cash disappear to again?)?

Did Cheney plan to move Halliburton overseas when TSHTF, and so happily executed his evil plan to destroy the US economy? Is the undisclosed location where he likes to hide actually in another country?

It's hard to imagine a regime so incompetent that they could do this much damage in so short a time by accident. Someone, somewhere, must have had a plan to destroy the country. What's your opinion?

1. my theory is that they are all Obsessive Compulsive wealth collection which results in Psychopathy
they are all mentally ill and if we dont evaluate them and institutionalize them we are all doomed.

they will not stop till they steal it all, they are all delusional and on a roller coaster to hell and we are all on the same train with them.

they are all mentally ill... we need intervention, corporations are being set up in the stock market to allow them to capitalize on futures, hedge funds to skim off about 30% of the cost of everything.. they are adding 20% to 25% of the cost of gas already.. as i type. they will raise the price of everything and pay no taxes.. and another corporation is being allowed to eat up all the small businesses break them up and put people out of work and resell them for a profit and pay no taxes..

someone needs to stop this shit..

2. Yes, where is their allegiance....
The Bush family has been buying up huge land tracts near Peru without explanation. KBR, I believe, is moving hdqtrs to Dubai, or one of those Arab countries. Bush has pushed for a open-border North American agreement, without any authorization from Congress. Did all these illegal activities, like regime change in Iraq, backed by lies, unauthorized wiretapping, using signing statements illegally,(according to ABA)and generally destroying any diplomacy with many allies around the world.

3. It's in their interest to reduce us to a frightened, docile, third world nation

8. World domination
I imagine the accumulation of wealth and power becomes like a heroin rush to them. They constantly need to increase their dose to maintain the rush.
They are definitely sick puppies in more ways than one. It's a pity they can't all OD before they ruin the planet for the rest of us.

10. Bingo
What would they gain? Is that poster serious? Reducing us to an isolated, squabbling-among-ourselves, frightened throng worried about losing our jobs benefits them by giving them power and control over us while they enrich themselves. That's what they want. That's what they gain.

They want to start up a new form of aristocracy, and everyone on this board will be among the peasants that hold them up.

What would they gain, indeed. :eyes:

4. I thought he bought land in S. America, not Saudi Arabia?

Everybody calls Bush incompetent. And as with most things in life, the rule of Occam's Razor applies -- the rule meaning the simplest answer often is the truest one; and how we make up our own convoluted ideas to compensate. That's something to think about too.

Never mind offshoring...
