to these absolute republican clowns that are now running for the republican nomination...Will they trust Fred Thompson to continue the fascist take over of this country, as the corporate media tells us thats who pappy Bush wants & endorses?

There's still 17 months to go and I expect either of only two things to happen...Simply because BushCo is not just going to let the voters decide the fate of their corporate government, which can then slowly get rid of their fascist empire, that they are even at this moment continuing to built...and NONE of the republicans candidates are family and nor can any of them be trusted to continue it in the way the Bush crime family wants it to continue....

1) In the next 17 month's I still expect Jeb to pop up out of nowhere and get the nomination and then steal the presidency which can easily be done, (again) with the ES&S & Diebold machines in 90% of the country, there's still plenty of time for them to get Jeb in there, considering that group of lackluster republican stooges that are now running and making fools of themselves.

Or....

2) In the next 17 month's "W" will exercise his May 9th 2007 executive order, and there will be some kind of planned domestic attack or emergency, bombing Iran, etc. to justify the order and the signed documents that are now in place for him to continue as president (dictator) for as long as Bush himself sees fit....i.e., when fascism has a complete & absolute control of our democracy.

I can't see any other way or outcome considering the BushCo family, (Cheney, Rove, etc.) along with the rest of the criminal corporate republican fascist!

Fred Thompson is BushCo's answer? Doubtful.

Impeach NOW!

1. I hadn't given much thought to
JEB!, but he is an original PNAC signatory, so point 1 is possible. It would at least "look" like we still had a democratic republic, which is something option 2 doesn't have going for it.

Like you, I have a hard time believing the PNAC neocons are going to hand over the reins of empire without a fight, just because the Constitution requires that.

2. I pick #2 to happen... And probably with some fireworks to start it off...

3. I also find it hard to believe they will give it ALL up to the whim of the voters.

4. Not this crap again
"I just can't see."
What are you (and hosts of others that post this stuff) the Delphi oracle or maybe Chicken Little?

Fear doom gloom the sky is falling.

How is this sort of posting any different than Chertoff's gut feeling?
As far as I'm concerned, it isn't except for its political orientation.

Though I'm no lying, greedy, hateful republican.

Your a believer...You feel all will be right when we vote for our candidate... no such thing as a conspiracy, coincidence's perhaps...I'm happy you have such faith....I truly wish I did, truly I do!

6. Actually I'm more a skeptic than a believer
My skepticism applies to both sides of extremes though, not just one of them.
I wouldn't put it as being that I have faith that things will be all right exactly.
It's more that I think there are enough bad things going on as it is that are clearly facts without adding to my despair by imagining hypotheticals.

8. So you see it better to ignore "hypotheticals"....

Even if the facts dictate ones suspicion, such as the fact of Bush's May 9th signing....or all the facts of these power & money hungry fascist have given us.... stealing of elections, no regard what so ever for the law or the Constitution, their past conniving & lying, etc...I think it deserves more than a passing thought...but at the very least, as small as this is, some discussion.

9. to continue the discussion
I don't see anything particularly different about Bush's recent executive order than previous ones.
Other presidents have had similar executive orders.
Suspicion of Bush is justified of course.

It's not that it doesn't deserve a passing thought, it's that every day someone posts this kind of stuff here, and it starts to have a boy who cried wolf quality to it.

That's the reason for my original comment.

10. 17 months.
That one-week respite from campaigning just didn't do it. I'm not sure I'll survive till 11/08.
