Funny how magnified things get here...watching and listening to the news...
Edited on Thu Jul-26-07 08:52 PM by SaveElmer
This Obama/Hillary thing is like the 10th story...it gets air on Hardball and those kinds of political shows, but it is barely registering in the real world...

But while you are in here, it seems like the most important thing on the planet...

1. To be honest with you, I haven't clued myself in on that........
cause at the end of the day, it is a waste of time. The primaries are a marathon, and they both know it. But negative press is better than no press at all, I guess?

2. You MUST LEAVE DU when it gets to this point.
Any time I've taken a week or so off from DU, the world changes completely. NOTHING is wrong. Since the news only reports missing blond stories and fake terror alerts, most people don't have a freakin' clue about anything but flowers and puppies and happy good times. It's by design. That's why it's so frustrating to watch CNN/MSNBC et al...when you know the truth and then see what the hell these co-conspirators are foisting on the American public, it makes you sick to your stomach.

4. What I want to know is whether or not the MSM is talking about the
WH, Gonzo and the Iraq War and the 8 dead Americans and untold no. of Iraqis.

6. It was the #2 story on Anderson Cooper after Gonzo
I haven't watched anything else on TV tonight so I can't really comment on how much coverage it is getting elsewhere.

8. Well you know I listen to the news on the radio....
Edited on Thu Jul-26-07 09:48 PM by SaveElmer
National news every hour...they don't even mention it...

Only hear about it here, and on some of the cable programs...

7. Try and explain the story to someone who doesn't give a shit about politics
and then you'll really realize how insignificant it is.

"You see, it started with this debate question about meeting adversaries without preconditions..." Uh-huh...

10. That is partly why it is dangerous to HRC and BO
Edited on Thu Jul-26-07 10:41 PM by draft_mario_cuomo
All many people are going to take away from this flap is that they called each other "naive and irresponsible" and Obama compared HRC to * and Cheney, or simply that they attacked each other. Look at the damage done to Edwards in NH when he merely pointed out the difference between him and HRC/Obama on the war funding bill and him and Obama on health care. What HRC and BO are doing is far worse...

11. Frankly...compared to past campaigns...
This is quite mild...I don't think this is really gonna have a long term affect...

12. No kidding....I checked on the real world earlier today and it was ALL about Lindsay Lohan.
I'll happily take the Clinton/Obama drama over LL right now. Funny how the media manufactures entertainment out of news, and news out of entertainment and then blames it all on us.
