Peace mom Cindy Sheehan has returned from a brief rest to take part in a growing movement for the impeachment of President Bush and Vice President Cheney. Impeachment activists have focused efforts on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Judiciary Chair John Conyers who have declared impeachment off the table. The Democratic leaders call the impeachment drive a distraction that would hinder chances at winning the 2008 elections. Cindy Sheehan joins us for a debate along with ex-CIA analyst Ray McGovern and Democratic Strategist Dan Gerstein.

A very good discussion.

So, whose side are you on? The former Lieberman aid that is against impeachment because it might not be politically helpful to the Democrat's election chances (and I disagree with that analysis anyway), or the independent Cindy Sheehan?

I really hope that Democrats do not fall into the trap that too many Republicans have fallen into, ie., 'party before country'.

Whether Sheehan or Ray McGovern are Democrats or unaffiliated, whether Bruce Fein and Paul Craig Roberts are registered Republicans or not ... we need to save and fight for our country.

And right now that means supporting the impeachment and removal from office of Bush and Cheney.
