I have been out of this forum for the most part. Clark and Gore aren't running and I'm ambivalent about Dems. running for 08

But just read something about a jacket comment that was funny.

1. During the Dem You Tube debate a question was asked to each
candidate "Turn to the candidate on your left and say something positive and negative about them".

They all went along until Edwards turned to Clinton and said "I like .... but not the jacket" (or some such quip). Everyone laughed. When it was Obamas turn he said "I like the jacket" and got laughs too. Hillary was wearing a coral jacket on the top of her suit.

2. During the youtube debate..
One of the questions asked each candidate to turn to their left and say something good and something bad about the candidate beside them. Edwards' "bad thing" about hillary was her pink jacket she was wearing.

3. It was a stupid question
That no YT person asked.

Light joke by Edwards in avoiding a personal attack.

4. A YouTube inquirer asked about criticism of the Dem candidates by other candidates and
Edwards made a humorous remark about Hillary's "jacket" which was actually a top to her pants, not a jacket that covered a shirt. Edwards made a light reference "Well, that jacket..." to a questioner about criticizing other Dem candidates. Hillary was smiling so she didn't take it as an effront.

It was actually kind of funny and Hillary was OK with it, so it wasn't a big deal.

When we remember W's performance in the debates with Kerry, this seems to be a minor tremor...

6. Actually, it was. Hillary was at first a little wary, then taken aback pleasantly
by Edwards's remark. So it passed as a mildly funny moment. It was truly NO BIG DEAL.
