Is Free Republic still struggling to make ends meet? Should we chip in to help them out?
Edited on Sat Jul-28-07 06:55 AM by Perry Logan
I heard that Free Republic has been having big trouble with their fund drive and may have to be bailed out by the GOP, which also needs help. I'm wondering if we should chip in--if only to see the look on their faces.

I worry about what Freepers might do if they had more spare time.

6. I don't think we have to worry about that, really.
Most of them have been cloistered in their parents' basements for so long that they're probably afraid of sunlight.

9. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Isn't that a shame...............Freepers are so committed too. What a surprise. Mooching must be running rampant. Maybe that is why we tend to sense them visiting our Board more and more each day?

11. RimJob has been sheering his flock for years........
he's taken everything OUT of FR's coffers (good paying jobs for his family, a new motor home to travel the country to FR "events", etc.) and given NOTHING back in all those years. They're still using the cheap-ass, ugly and confusing format they started with, upgrades are non-existent (except for a little more bandwidth) and the FReeps never once considered where all of their money was going. I suppose they thought it was being used to help good, moral, conservative causes. WRONG! It all "trickled down" into RimJob and his family's pockets. But isn't that just good old American enterprise? "Free market forces" writ large.

The FReeps aren't the sharpest tools in the shed, if you get my drift. ;) Maybe they're finally coming to the realization that they've been ripped off by RimJob all these years?

14. Pass the collection plate around...
... and then buy it out!

That would really do their heads in.
And there would be lots of fun to be had after control is gained.
:D

When the first pig flies by, I'll consider thinking about that, thank you.

24. More spare time?
I guess they could do their laundry and clean up the basement. Doubt too many of them have womenfolk to do that for them.
