This Week...WTF?
Edited on Sun Jul-29-07 09:17 AM by sshan2525
Snuffalufagus has three (count 'em 3!) Republicans on the round table talking about the Democratic debates. They are saying the Democrats are starting to drift to the left (????!!!!!) and that's a bad thing somehow. This is embarassing and disgusting. George S sucks.

1. Thanks. Now I don't have to watch.
It airs later here, and I usually tune in (can't suffer Mr. PotatoHead, who comes on opposite).

I'll walk the dog instead.

3. Fareed Zakaria was talking some sense.
But, the other 2 republicans kept interrupting him and telling him he was wrong.

7. Fareed is a cardcarrying Neo-Con
Even if he's making sense there's a subtext designed to hurt the Dems behind it. He just comes across as less psychotic than many of his brethren.

9. He's the one that writes for NEwsweek and is on the Daily Show
a lot of time...

If he's not that guy then I made a mistake...

But if it is that guy, he goes after Bush fairly regularly when ever he appears on the Daily Show...

the neo-cons beautiful plans for world domination by making a pig's dinner out of Iraq. He comes across as reasonable at times but he's still a Repblican and neo-con and therefore is not to be trusted.

11. If by that you mean he is a moderate, you are right, but he is still for US troops to stay in Iraq
forever. Simply, he thinks that Bush has done the job poorly. He sounds a lot like a DLC type to me.

12. Would you direct me to understand this better?
My more frequent posts and intentions to engage in understanding where my party is going (including an intention to support DU after re-establishing gainful employment) lead me to ask about these people popping up on the Sunday shows and comments about the DLC.

Some of the talking heads seem to try to become camelions, zipping back and forth on the side of certain issues like flies on shit. I used to call these shows "CFR Sunday". And so, I assume those in the DLC are among these figure heads on George Stuffedfullofoctopus Sunday extravaganza? :-)
