1. My understanding (correct me if I am wrong)

is that American citizens can travel to Cuba for either diplomatic or artistic endeavors which I think includes journalism. I would hope that other journalists, photographers, artists or writers would come to his defense and as far as the diplomacy, the scene in the movie with the Cuban fire department congratulating the 911 workers in my mind, covers diplomacy. He is being harrassed for political reasons and all it does is add fuel to the fire. I don't know at this point who is coming to his aid, as this just happened.
I would think Mike has a lot of friends in high places who have got his back as well as those of us in low places, who also will have his back.

Probably around this time next year they'll turn the heat up and make support for Michael Moore an election issue.

Republicants have a visceral hatred for him, and that will serve as a rallying cry for the faithful to get out the vote.
