Ok which fucking freep flagged an old warrent for an Obama staffer?
I just know in my heart that some rebublirat did this I guess it's going to be open season on all the Dem candidates people.

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) -- An intern working for Sen. Barack Obama's presidential campaign was arrested Friday at the Des Moines airport after authorities flagged an outstanding arrest warrant for aggravated battery in Illinois.

Derrick Lamon Johnson, 20, of Glen Carbon, Ill., was also charged with fleeing from justice.

Tommy Vietor, Iowa press secretary for the Obama campaign, said Johnson had been working for the campaign for about a month as an unpaid intern. Vietor said Secret Service agents learned of the arrest warrant during a criminal background check after Johnson was scheduled to drive in a campaign motorcade.

2. Staffer?????? An "intern" is not a staffer.
An intern is a "staffer in training for a limited period to give said intern a taste of the job" at BEST.

Staffers make decisions about how work product is processed in the office. Interns make copies.

And this kid was an UNPAID intern, to boot.

Obama is getting Secret Service protection. THEY bagged the kid, as they should have. At least they're 'protecting the principal' as is their duty. They should have bagged him sooner, IMO.

11. As one who drove Kerry, Kennedy, Heinz around in Madison in 2004...
...your name gets screened by the Secret Service. You submit your name, license, SS# and they get back to you in a few days. THEN you get to drive and have full access under strict conditions.

That's what happened to this guy. He had a past record that he should have remembered before signing up to be a driver. You don't mess with the Secret Service, who by the way, are generally very nice people.
