Two reasons we should hope Freddy T. enters the race.
First, the Republicans might be dumb enough to actually give him the nomination. He would then proceed to make Dole's performance look remarkable.

Problem there is that his non-campaign campaign is already imploding, so his chances are looking kind of bleak, at least for now.

Second, he would siphon off fundraising cash from the other candidates, and people like Guiliani would need to spend serious cash to fight him in the primary.

Fundraising isn't usually a problem for them, of course, but this election cycle is looking like it might be an exception. Blowing a ton in the primaries could put them at a serious disadvantage going into the general.
