Geez, you'd think a newspaper--any newspaper--would mention a resolution to impeach Gonzo...
WASHINGTON — Rep. Jay Inslee will introduce a resolution today directing the House Judiciary Committee to investigate whether Attorney General Alberto Gonzales should be impeached. (Link: http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2003813954_inslee31m.html?syndication=rss)

Hmmm…this might be significant. Checked the on-line versions of the NY Times, NY Post, Philadelphia Inquirer, Chicago Sun-Times, LA Times, Associated Press…hmmm...was that the sound of a pin dropping?

Not a word. Not one single word. Not one bloody buggery single word about a resolution to impeach the Attorney General of the United States. Slow news day. Any blonde celebrities in rehab?

Since most newspapers haven’t reported this, here’s the impeachment resolution:

Text: Resolved, that the Committee on the Judiciary shall investigate fully whether sufficient grounds exist for the House of Representatives to impeach Alberto R. Gonzales, Attorney General of the United States, for high crimes and misdemeanors.

Sponsor: Rep. Jay Inslee, D-Bainbridge Island

Co-sponsors: Reps. Xavier Becerra, D-Calif.; Michael A. Arcuri, D-N.Y.; Ben Chandler, D-Ky.; Dennis Moore, D-Kan., and Bruce Braley, D-Iowa.

(Another in a continuing series of rants against incompetent journalism.)

1. HAHAHAHAHA!!! You silly person
A resolution to impeach Gonzo hardly holds a candle to these stories:

1. The Balco scandal and should Barry Bonds be suspended from baseball
2. O.J. Book proceeds go to Goldman family
3. The Mega packet of heinz ketchup is being released
4. Singer Tim McGraw was groped after a concert
5. Exorcism death sparks questions
6. Did teen reach fro pants or gun?
7. All things Lindsay Lohan
8. Were astronauts drunk on the shuttle?

Now don't you feel really stupid for thinking your story should eclipse these stories.

on note: These are actual headlines and 'major stories' from...ahem...news services.

3. you really expect the corporate media to report?
The New York Post is a Murdoch paper, and even before that, was never known as a hard-news source... Heck, back in the 80's it was thought of like the 'weekly world news'.

And the NYT? The paper of Judith Miller? The old grey lady? Well that old grey whore, she aint what she used to be.

It gets a lot of play in Seattle, and after all, Inslee is a local congressman (lives on the island) but don't expect the evil empire (the corporate media) to do ANYTHING that involves risk, or risk of profit.

Did you all see the beginnings of the anti-Inslee ads? Saw one on TV today.
