Andrew Sullivan: An Obama Surge? |
|
An Obama Surge? 31 Jul 2007 01:11 pm He's now tied Clinton in New Hampshire and is ahead of her in South Carolina. Last month, in the same polls, he was nine points behind Clinton in NH and two points behind in SC. If more blacks and women start breaking in his direction, Clinton is in trouble. I think her husband is canny enough to realize she lost the foreign policy spat with Obama last week. In the end, fortune favors the brave.http://andrewsullivan.theatlantic.com/the_daily_dish/2007/07/an-obama-surge.html

1. I'd take Obama over Hillary. |
|
I still don't like or trust Sullivan though.

I've noticed a dramatic decrease in "resistance is futile" posts on DU over the past couple of days. This seems to always happen right before there's bad news for Mrs. Clinton.

3. Clinton leads among independents? |
|
I thought that Obama was doing better among independents in NH and CLinton better with Democrats. now it looks like it's the opposite.

4. A bit early to trend spot isn't it? |
|
SC has been a mess in terms of consistent polling especially ARG which has seen huge jumps and falls for both Hillary and Obama over the last two months.
NH is a little more interesting because its the first poll since early May to show Obama neck and neck with Hillary.

7. Obama's campaign is unfolding beautifully. |

In the words of Cate Blanchett as Elizabeth in Elizabeth, it is marvelous in my eyes.
