2. We are not going to get universal health care
because too many of us are sick and might cost the precious insurance companies a few bucks in care.

That's why.

3. That, and the Insurance Companies.
If Kaiser Permanente with 8.1 million enrolled gets anywhere near what my current PPO gets from ME (about $7200/year) then we're looking at around $60 billion per year gross input to system.

The top 10 HMO's have 37.6 million enrolled, and if you use $6000/year (a walkaway STEAL) then you come up with over $200 BILLION per year, and that's only the top 10. There are roughly 500 HMO's in the country. There will NEVER be Universal Health Care until WE MAKE IT HAPPEN.

4. We're not going to get health insurance
because too many morons believe republican propaganda, even as the republicans pick their pockets.

5. We don't want health INSURANCE.
Have you seen Sicko?

Those stories are about people who HAVE health insurance.

What we want is universal health CARE. Healthcare as a civil right, not a priviledge of those who can afford the insurance, co-pays and out-of-pocket.
