Murdoch helping Hillary: NY Post calls Obama Nutty, beserk for Pakistan comments
Let's not be naive. Murdoch did not give Hillary $20,000 without asking for anything in return. Regardless of what Murdoch wants from Hillary if she becomes president, she has to get there first, and Obama is the first obstacle.

1) Bluster of Berserk Barack.
Excerpt:
August 2, 2007 -- EARLIER in his campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination, Sen. Barack Obama just sounded naive. Yesterday, he sounded frightening.

There were actually two hit pieces in one day.

2) http://www.nypost.com/seven/08022007/news/nationalnews/obama__id_invade_ally_nationalnews_charles_hurt____________bureau_chief.htm">OBAMA: I'D INVADE ALLY
Here's an excerpt:
pi]Fleshed out in yesterday's speech, Obama's foreign policy is shaping up to be a "talk to your enemies, invade your friends" approach to American relations abroad

1. And Hillary wants to keep the nuclear option on the table for Pakistan
and Afghanistan just to get a few Al Qaeda and Taliban members.

5. Yes - its a vast right wing conspiracy to help, um, Hillary Clinton.
They've been planning this for decades.

You too see all the republican donations going to Hillary and the republican media constantly telling us how great she is (and what a great role model she is)...the media adores keeping her name in the headlines day after day...the right-wing media just can't say enough nice things about her & Billy.... until after the nomination of course...Yes, indeed you understand how the republicans want her to win the nomination...This woman has no baggage for the asshole republicans to exploit...Good post!

out of the race....Works for me, I hate mudslinging politics. When it starts, I start crossing names off of my possibility list.

7. Yep. They're definitely trying to take him out
I wish Media Matters would do a report on all the distortions and smears the media have subjected Obama to. The media did the same thing to Edwards with the haircut thing until he fell in the polls/fundraising. Meanwhile, they let Hillary walk by free of any criticism.

8. Hillary is a mealy mouthed DLCer.
She is the corporation's choice for the Democratic nominee. If they can't have a Rethug, they'll take a Clinton. The worse they'll get with a Clinton is a tax increase. They won't get much in terms of changing free trade agreements and deregulation will stay intact.

10. Kerry was the first obstacle
And she took him out last year when she joined the media bashers over his so-called botched joke.

The Clintons CAN get anything they want into the media and ALWAYS have been able to.

Make no mistake about it.

15. Nobody has been more victimized by the media
than the Clintons. The 90s were a whole decade of lies about Bill and Hillary. Now,every time Hillary does anything, the media attributes a sinister motive. If Hillary says nukes, she's running from being called weak on defense. If Hillary says no nukes, she's caving in to her base. It doesn't matter what she does. The media smears her. Even though Hillary is ahead of all the GOP candidates, the media says she can't be elected.

I can't think of a single example of a time when the Clintons had any media on their side. I can't even think of a time when they've been treated fairly.

16. Yeah but they learned
And built up their own team of "junkyard dogs". Sadly, they don't always use them to go after Republicans.

You haven't noticed the Clintons being treated like anything the last 6 years because they haven't had anything at stake.

23. They're IN the media
Edited on Thu Aug-02-07 10:12 PM by sandnsea
HER attackers. Bill Press? Hilary Rosen? Craig Crawford? There's a number of media elites who cowtow to the Clintons and take up their cause against anybody, even other Democrats.

Like such:

"The reason, as Jerome Armstrong explains at MyDD, is because it seems someone in the "mainstream" press corps is leaking things to Drudge, who then quotes Obama out of context:

It's also telling of a shift in the way that the press is handling Obama now. When a politician says "strike that" it's supposed to mean a 'do-over' that isn't brought out into the public by the reporter. This was dished to Drudge with the lead out of context in order to cause maximum harm..."

Edited on Thu Aug-02-07 09:56 PM by antiimperialist
AP reports that Murdoch, Murdoch's number two in News Corps and others, gave Hillary Clinton's campaign $20,000.
John Edwards says Clinton should return this money.

Edited on Thu Aug-02-07 09:59 PM by rinsd
Its NewsCorps executives one of whom is the President and COO of News Corp Peter Chemin who has given tens of thousands to Democrats and the DNC over the years.

Edwards is grandstanding. He's even returning donations from people who simply work at a local Fox station. What an asshole.
