As much as we may dislike our present system, a complete do over will be very messy and expensive.

When a revolution starts, it normally begins with targeting of the judicial, and once that breaks down it will be a long time before it is rebuilt.

No trust in the existing statute will allow a new government to recycle any of it, and it all will have start from scratch.
