Big Ed to Tucker fucker Carlson: I will not sit hear and let you call Edwards a phony
He was right the Edwards bashing is out of control from ALL the right wing pundits and even some so called progressive pundits.

1. Edwards....
strikes terror into the hearts of the GOP and the DNC. He is clean, honest, and a populist (ie of the common man sort). God forbid someone that says they are there to help the middle class get elected. He is on the right track as far as I am concerned. If the worst they can get on him is an expensive haircut-he must be either hitting a nerve or scaring them to death. Methinks they protest too much.

4. I listen to Ed,
and I think he's changed his position on Mrs. Clinton. This past week he said that ALL the Democratic candidates were good ones, and he'll be glad to support the eventual nominee. He's said some really nice things about Edwards and Richardson (both of whom have been on his show), and has mentioned the problem of Clinton's receiving donations from a company owned by Murdoch.

5. The Repukes are terrified that Edwards might get the nomination
They know he's a fighter and will expose the election-stealing. He's a plain speaker, an honest man, and appealing. No wonder they hate him.

6. Can you fill me in on what he would do on election stealing?
I am seriously considering Edwards as my candidate in our primary. I like him a lot but have been put off by his low poll numbers, because I want to vote for a winner. If he has said something about the disgraceful, criminal acts of the Repubs on election stealing, I'd love to know more.

I hope his poll numbers nationwide (not just Dems) will pick up. I would be delighted to volunteer for him in 08.

8. he wants to ban DRE's. He wants paper ballots. He will fight to count every vote and it has come
out that he would have fraught to do just that in Ohio if Kerry would have let him. Since Kerry was the nom. he had final say. Edwards is quoted as saying "But we promised..."

9. Thanks, that's great. As I said, I want to back a winner this time and
I hope Edwards pulls this off. As I have said on other posts, I am interested in backing a winner for 08. No more dreamy candidates that are so dear to my heart, so to speak. Just, a winner.

Since he's the only one talking about poverty in the U.S. I feel he has a strong message. I don't hate Obama or HIllary and will of course vote for them if either is the candidate. But to back someone with my heart and soul means they have to be winners.

I think the pubs hate him, the way the pubs of the 30s hated Roosevelt. They knew what was coming then and thepubs of today know what is coming also. Medicare for everyone! No more military adventurism! Infrastructure repair! No more tax cuts for the super wealthy!

Bring it on!

21. I hear what you are saying, and I know that poll numbers at this stage
don't mean very much. I guess I have developed a very hard head about a candidate's viability, given all of the defeats my candidates have suffered. After Kerry lost (due in part I think to his reluctance to fight the voting machine fraud), I began to see how his reluctance on other things (such as the Swift Boaters and the grotesque caricature by Republicans of his Purple Heart) helped lose him votes. I saw that while I am comfortable with his having a house on Nantucket, it could seem foreign and a bit prissy to someone in the midwest, underscored by the video of him looking funny windsurfing. I strongly supported Teresa when in reality she just didn't seem like First Lady material to lots of voters. I basically fooled myself.

Sorry to go on so long with this. Let's just say I'm being more careful as I look at candidates for my vote.

15. Aw, you don't have to do that in the primaries
"because I want to vote for a winner"...

You can vote for whoever you believe in! That's the beauty of Primaries...

The Winner in '08 will be the one who gets the most votes in the Dem Primaries...and gets nominated at the convention...

VOTE YOUR CONSCIENCE!!!

22. Well, it's not a matter of my conscience, at least in this campaign
I probably should have added that I would not, of course, support a candidate for President if he or she disagreed with the policy guidelines of the Democratic Party. Such things as being prochoice, supporting unions, supporting racial equality, public education, for instance.

So far I don't see much variance in our top candidates, and that is why I look for electability. All of the great ideas of the world in the head of a candidate who cannot win in the general will put us right back where we are now, with a Republican Administration.

Besides, I like John Edwards, although I don't think he's perfect. My first choice would have been Wes Clark, but who knows, he may end up being our VP candidate next year. Elizabeth Edwards has proven herself to be a strong fighter. Look how she and John went after Coulter publicly and raised money for the campaign as a result. THAT's the kind of fighting spirit I want to see. That is what helps win elections.

Can you see the republicans ever giving Edwards money...The republican plan is to get Edwards out of the race, as simple as that...WE know the two they want us to focus on and nominate...

12. Edwards only got $40,000 from Wall Street last quarter
Certain other Democrats raised 17 times and 10 times as much. What does that tell you?

And after that, he'll kick ass and take names.

Republicans are definitely afraid of Edwards.

Good for Ed Schultz.

20. You are 100 % right Lindsey!

The compliments from the righties are almost too much to tolerate... and the fundraisers by wingnuts.. not to mention the bogus polls by the media.

If certain Democrats don't see that they are INVESTING in HRC's nomination - then there's nothing we can do about but sit back and watch it happen...

Personally, I think if Edwards takes off in Iowa, he's going all the way -- despite all of that Murdoch Money.
