Hillary tied with Edwards in lastest North Carolina Poll...
Hillary 29%

In yet another sign of Sen. Hillary Clinton's momentum in the 2008 Democratic presidential race, a new Public Policy Polling survey shows her tied with John Edwards in his home state of North Carolina. Clinton and Edwards each get 29% support, with Sen.Barack Obama trailing at 23%.

1. This race should not even be competitive for Edwards. BAD sign for his campaign.
Shades of Gore losing Tennessee in 2000.

HRC and Obama both have more than one home state: Hawaii/Il for Obama and IL/AR/NY for HRC.

2. Good.
I may not like what Hillary stands for on many issues, but at least she doesn't change her mind every five seconds like Edwards.

11. You've got to be kidding.
Hillary is nothing if she doesn't change with the wind. She normally has one foot on the boat, the other on the dock, and changes her stance to suit the audience she's addressing at any given moment.

This is my biggest beef with her.

12. Well, I'm not kidding when I say that Edwards has tried to
backtrack on nearly his entire Senate record.

Of course, I don't have a candidate (and probably won't, leaving me to voting using the "eeny, meanie, miny, moe" method on Feb. 5, 2008) because I really don't like anyone who's running all that much - on both sides of the aisle - because of all the crap they change their minds on that's never for the good of the average person.

4. Hillary has 57% favorable rating...highest of all the candidates!
2008 Primary

"Among registered voters who typically vote in the Democratic primary, Hillary Clinton is nearly 10
percentage points ahead of her nearest competitor, Barack Obama, 39% to 30%.
John Edwards is
struggling in third place at only 11% but remains the only other Democratic candidate in double digits.
Hillary Clinton is not only well ahead of the rest of the Democratic pack, but she also has the highest
favorability rating of all the candidates, the highest our poll has ever seen for her (57%)
."

6. I would vote for Clinton, but
this article is disingenuous at best. When you look at all the press that Clinton and Obama have had, as compared to Edwards, it's amazing he is even polling so high.

7. Is it momentum or Mark Penn propaganda?
Penn has a habit of using push-polls.

14. Now, now, don't let facts get in the way of the "Resistance is futile to Clobama" crowd's party

Moreover, in the last poll he actually lost his NC lead to Clinton and trailed Obama as well...You are right. Edwards has improved his NC numbers, a good sign in what has generally been a difficult summer for his campaign.

Edwards is tied in NC, Obama has a 4 point lead in Illinois, and Richardson is I believe up 8 in NM. No big deal. In the end Edwards will carry NC, Obama Illinois, and Richardson NM. The others not named Clinton all lose in their homes states right now, with only Biden being competitive in his home state (2nd, trailing by 13). Dodd, for instance, is 5th at 8% in CT.
