Warren Buffett To Co-Host Barack Obama Fundraiser In Omaha
http://www.action3news.com/Global/story.asp?S=6896154&nav=menu550_2

Omaha, NE- Billionaire investor Warren Buffett will co-host a fundraiser for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama in Omaha on August 15. That word from former Lieutenant Governor Kim Robak, who's co-sponsoring the $500-per-person event at the Ironwood Country Club.

An earlier reception will be held for those who contribute $2,300 or raise $5,000 for Obama's campaign. Robak says it's exciting any time a presidential candidate comes to Nebraska.

Buffett is the founder of the Omaha-based Berkshire Hathaway. He co-hosted a fundraiser for Obama rival Hillary Rodham Clinton in New York in June. That event brought in at least $1 million for Clinton's presidential effort.

1. Wonder what Buffet's up to, the old corporate raider. I always
wonder why everybody thinks he's such a cuddly lovable guy. He buys up companies and guts them and sells them off just like any other opportunistic greedo. I guess it's the same reason people think Bill Gates is such a great humanitarian.

2. I like that he's going to Nebraska
Get out into rural America and hear what different folks think of the state of the mess we're in. Build some grassroots support, some national momentum. Sounds very good.
