Obama: 4th Candidate to Walk the Walk

As part of SEIU’s program to ensure that presidential candidates better understand workers’ everyday challenges, Sen. Barack Obama tomorrow will accompany SEIU member Pauline Beck to the home of her 86-year-old client, who is completely dependent on Beck and another homecare worker for 24 hour care.

Sen. Obama will see firsthand how homecare workers are often their clients’ only caretakers, their only family.

NBC's Today Show will run a story Thursday morning. Check it out! Photos, video and more will also be posted to WalkADayInMyShoes2008.com.

Sen. Obama will be the 4th presidential candidate to walk a day in a member’s shoes following Sen. Dodd, Gov. Richardson, and Sen. Edwards in recent months. Stay tuned for Sen. Clinton next week.
