* Edited because of complaints about an old saying I used as the title (ironically #2 below):
The horses are in the gate.
I thought it would be interesting and fun to critique the debate on a purely political basis and that means setting aside our rhetoric and snark for a moment.
I find politics, particularly election cycles, fascinating. The Democrats are taking me on the E ticket ride. I've laughed. I've cried. But I am feeling really invigorated, tingly from anticipation of the future. And the people on stage today may be our choices. I realize some of you fully intend to bolt so, well, have a great day ...
The top three going in have some things they need to deal with: Mark Penn for Hill, convincing Labor he can win for Edwards, and Barack trying not to look too fabulous - so sue me. Sorry.
I think it would be interesting to discuss this debate without using material we have already posted here 1,000,000 times before, now officially becoming our own rhetoric, but rather take a good look at what our party has dished up and speculate on whether or not they can make it through the gauntlet intact.
Just remember two things:
1. Politics can be fun. 2. Don't sh*t where you eat.

I'm coming out. I'm an optimist. I have to be or my head will explode.

1. LOL! "Don't shit where you eat" is one of my all-time favorite pieces of advice! |

And yes, Obama's just too sexy for his shirt, IMO--:-)

5. "Don't Sh*t Where You Eat." |
|
I hate that saying. Really, if you have to tell someone that, are they even
worth conversing with?
I lose my appetite just reading it. Maybe I've been an R.N. too long
and have seen too many people actually shit where they eat.

But am not familiar with her lyrics, although I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be good.
That's okay. Like I said upthread, some people think being optimistic is retarded.
That doesn't bother me but I appreciate you making the effort.
