Do I smell an Obama, Edwards detente? |
seems like it no? I was actually thinking about this before it was discussed on MSNBC. It appears the candidates auditioning for Clinton's cabinet (Dodd, Biden, and somewhat Richardson) are ganging up on Obama and Edwards, while those two candidates seem to be cordial to each other as of late. Interesting development.

2. Yes. They realize HRC is pulling too far away. They need to bring her back down to Earth |
If she is at 48% entering Iowa Edwards and Obama are toast. If they, or events, can bring HRC back to a reasonable level they will resume attacking each other. Edwards and Obama are direct competitors for the "anti-HRC" mantle so don't expect this truce to last long.

Number 2 and number 3 are attacking number one - and it makes good campaign sense. Numbers four, five, six and seven are attacking the tier just above them - numbers two and three. Number eight (who was not there tonight) always attacks number one.

6. Edwards and Obama don't have much to gain from attacking each other right now |
That will probably change by the closer we get to the Iowa caucuses.
