The collapse was becuase of an Earthquake.

True, no earthquake was detected by scientists. But these are probably the same scientists that beleive in Climate change and evolution.


In Utah, rescuers are still trying to reach six coal miners trapped underground. Officials said it would take at least two more days to reach them. Three of the trapped miners are Mexican citizens. No other details about the men have been released.

Robert Murray, of Murray Energy Corporation: "I don't know if these miners are alive are dead. Only the Lord knows that. If they are dead, the shock of the earthquake, the concussion, killed them, and they died instantly. That's one scenario. The other scenario is they are very much alive and we're going to rescue them."
While Murray insisted the mine collapse was caused by an earthquake, government seismologists say no earthquake occurred and that it was the collapse of the mine that caused a seismic event.

Inspectors have cited Genwal Resources, owner of the mine, for 30 violations in 2007, MSHA records show. Recommended fines in the 10 cases where penalties have been leveled so far range from $60 to $524.

The mine was cited at least 300 times total in the past three years -- with 118 of those citations for violations serious enough to cause death, records show.

It would seem this mine was being watched and inspected, maybe it is just a case of crap happens.

10. I am not much distressed or surprised by this.. My concern right

now is that they seem to be blaming this disaster on "Earthquakes" and "tremors" of a natural origin, and the scientific world does not seem to be backing them up.

I have heard many reports that the seismic reading may have been caused by the mine collapse, rather than an earthquake. . . They are trying do deflect the blame of causing it by unsafe mining prectices..
