You see it in full force for a week sense he made his comment on Pakistan and by the way he was right this murderous Bin Laden killed 3,000 Americans and we have democrats like Clinton Bidden and Dodd who help get us in Iraq in the first place attacking Obama about capturing this murderous thug if we have credible intelligence where he is and these motherfuckers are talking about getting permission from the dictator of Pakistan to go in and capture or kill him ARE THEY FOR REAL!!! I am sorry i don't want any of these three idiots running the country.

August is a slow news month. They are manipulating the public's perceptions for a lark.

That seems to be a leap of an assumption, if that's what you meant.

23. No, but once some point makes the press,
it is usually used by someone to make a point, good or bad,
about whatever candidate they may oppose or support.
The info in the article (about his Church), I had been made aware of by a Dem
previously, way back in the last election when I first started
paying attention to Obama.

Still not getting your first post. Who's the "other half", and how is Obama worse than Bush?

Other half = Americans (regardless of political affiliation) that think war is the answer for solving our issues in the Middle East.

Bush = Dumb, but smart enough not to threaten nuclear-capable "allies" by sending troops. He also has enough foresight to see that threats can lead to a war.

27. Bush had no brains or foresight whatsoever, or we wouldn't be NEARLY as fucked
in Iraq, Afghanistan, at home, and everywhere else the way we are now. Bush doesn't even make the decisions, the "Decider" label aside. He's a frontman for Cheney. That's conventional wisdom by now. And Obama vowed to get OBL, with or without Pakistan's help--he did NOT threaten Pakistan itself, either with troops OR invasion--he basically stated the current policy (your genius Georgie's policy), which Pakistan is quite familiar with. You appear to be either misinformed, or fundamentally dishonest.

9. The job of all candidates is to smack the other candidates.
Come on, you already know that! That's the only way for them to show how they are better than the other guy. I honestly don't think I've seen anything race related in the Dem campaign. Hillary did have a valid point when she said you may believe in a tactic but when you're running for President, you don't always say everything you believe. Even Musharif (s) was upset about Obama's comment. That's not good for America and our foreign policy.

16. Musharraf knows Obama is a prez CANDIDATE, and thus not in a
position to dictate policy in the near future--he's either just trying to drum up sympathy, or (tinfoil hat) I smell a little collusion going on. Note that the only other world leader to single out a candidate for criticism was the Australian Prime Minister--a good friend of GWB. And who did he criticize? Yep--Obama.

She did say on the day he made the comment about Musharaff:

"If we had actionable intelligence that Osama bin Laden or other high-value targets were in Pakistan I would ensure that they were targeted and killed or captured."

Hee hee. Oh, but wait... now she disagrees... :eyes:

Hillary is the paragon of a politician. This is one of the reasons I don't support her. I will vote for her over a hatercon if she wins the primary... but I really hope that i'm not forced to that.

On Edit:

Everyone is getting trashed to various degrees by the MSM.. Obama has probably been the least slandered of all the candidates who aren't totally and completely ignored.

This is how party politics works. Obama and Edwards don't have the blessing of the elites so they will be battered mercilessly. People need to decide whether they want fundamental change or not.

The lack of critical thinking on here scares me sometimes.

No one in the Dem party is attacking Obama b/c he's Black....except for Elizabeth Edwards with her 'too bad John isn't a Black man so he can get more media attention' routine.

But none of the candidates have attacked Obama b/c he's Black.

35. Obama is getting trashed for making a stupid statement about

sending troops into a country that is an ally of ours and that has nukes.

Allegedly, Clinton made a similar stupid statement back in January.

We don't need cowboy or cowgirl foreign policy.

Pakistanis are demonstrating against us because of what Obama said. Neither he nor Clinton are ready for primetime.

What's the alternative? Give him the presidency just because he's black? Not on his merits (of which some of us see very little)? But because mean old whitey is gonna keep him out of the White House because of his color?

Some people will/do feel that way I know. But don't be foolish enough to paint everyone with that brush.
