I'm starting to get sick and tired of apologizing for the House and Senate
Democrats here on DU...

I'm getting my ass kicked because I know that leading legislatively is tough at best and impossible at worst...

It's infuriating to have to sit here and watch as the Democratic Leadership points to some incremental changes on an issues or two and boast as if it truly is a new day for Democrats...

Just a few days ago when they really had the chance to show that there truly is a difference between the Democrats and Republicans, they bend over give Bush everything he asks for...

Well, at least that is how it is perceived out here beyond the Beltway...

Do they really think people are going to keep voting for Congressional Democrats if they can't show at the very least a small bit of Spine...

Don't get me wrong, I still firmly believe that a spineless Democrat is worth any Republican...

But I grow weary of trying to continually rationalize their lack of leadership on the key issues of the day...

I use to think that Democrats are more practical because to them, politics is a vocation and so they are understandably cautious...

I know that Republicans run and govern as if politics were an avocation which explains why they are so reckless....

But now, well enough is enough already...

The Congressional Democrats are being far to careful with Bush and his minions in Congress...

All that strategy has accomplished is to create a void of leadership which only encourages House and Senate Republicans to pick up where the vitriolic Newt left off in 1994...

Ms. Pelosi and Mr. Reed, I suggest you both go back and watch some tapes of Newt and his gang in action...

No one wants you to be as reckless as Gingrich was back in the early 90's...

But please, I beg of you, put up some kind of fight...

Because if you don't, I have to wonder if we have reached the end of this grand and glorious social experiment we call the United States...

Please, for the sake of our children and the future, stop being afraid to lead...

Well, that's my two cents...

2. Well, I wish that Reid and Pelosi would at least explain
Just what they're up to...

I'd like to understand for a change...

It just looks horrifying when they cave...

We elected them to do some real work......

Why aren't they doing it?

DRY POWDER don't you understand? :sarcasm:

There's so much dry powder in Congress now, if anyone lit a match the whole damned building would explode.
