What do you think of Kurtz' article here? It's odd, I think. Like he focuses on all the little details but doesn't address the real import of the sleaze investigation.

3. what occurred to me...

...is that Kurtz is laying some groundwork for opportunities to smack Moldea/Flynt. He's tapdancing right now, because he doesn't know what Moldea has in his pocket. He slyly intimates that Moldea is shady.

But Moldea can't be bought and hasn't been sued. Just beaten and threatened. He's a national hero for saving Bill Clinton from removal from office. Moldea stopped the coup attempt. Now he's on the line for democracy.

4. Kurtz is part of the problem

They know this stuff and have known this stuff for a long time -- yet, just now, it becomes a side issue involving the life of an investigative reporter on the margins.

On the margins, b/c, the report is not on the beltway cocktail circuit.
