Not really, but just who the fuck do New Hampshirites think they are having to be the first primary. I guess my Mississippi vote isn't as valuable as theirs. South Carolina or some state is talking of moving their primary back but New Hampshire says it will be the first. Why? Why should candidates suck up to New Hampshirites and not me? Or you if your states primary is late and irrelevant?

1. Then Iowa's caucuses will be next week, so there
We wanna be first - we wanna be first.
Look, we will have them retroactively if we have to.

2. Nobody should be "first"
The primaries should be in groups with the smaller states going first so that everything isn't decided by the time the bigger states get to vote.

3. The whole system is bullshit, why any state should have that much influence is ridiculous

4. I am beginning to wonder if we shouldn't have
one big ass national primary, on the same day for all state and federal positions- both parties.

11. Bill Clinton aside
The comeback kid phenom is rare and nothing is going to keep money from being a major factor until we have publically funded, paper ballot elections with a single system and nasty safeguards. If Rove had gone to a work farm for life for his first election fraud, we would not be in this position.

But the unequal power of the less populated states would be reduced. I mean there is nothing wrong with NH, IA, etc, but the unequal emphasis on rural opinion during the campaign is part of what makes it so damn hard to stick them on the real issues faced by most Americans, IMO.

5. I have no problem with NH being first
(and it has nothing to do with us being neighbors. There is little to no residual interest in Maine by the candidates.)

Campaigning in NH is different than in other states. Retail politics is the order of the day. It takes little money to make an impact. It's traditional and I respect tradition in this case.

I think this primary season is a disgrace and I'm upset with the DNC for agreeing to this schedule.

6. Deal with it.
All you red states can have primaries the day after if you want. NH goes first.

9. NH's constitution makes it the law that NH's primary is first.
