No Contradiction: Clinton Camp
Clinton Discussed Use of Nukes Last Year

NEW YORK — "Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton, who chastised rival Barack Obama for ruling out the use of nuclear weapons in the war on terror, did just that when asked about Iran a year ago.

"I would certainly take nuclear weapons off the table," she said in April 2006.

Her views expressed while she was gearing up for a presidential run stand in conflict with her comments this month regarding Obama, who faced heavy criticism from leaders of both parties, including Clinton, after saying it would be "a profound mistake" to deploy nuclear weapons in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

"There's been no discussion of nuclear weapons. That's not on the table," he said.

......SNIP"

6. She's right that she wasn't bringing up the topic. At least that part is a little different.

8. Of course, that's not the issue here
She said re. Obama: "I don't believe that any president should make any blanket statements with respect to the use or non-use of nuclear weapons."

She said re. Iran: "I have said publicly no option should be off the table, but I would certainly take nuclear weapons off the table."

2. A sneak preview of the spin we'd see over 4 years of Hillary
Like how it tastes?

4. Wow. This is just like the diplomatic talks conflict. She tried to sound
tough but ends up contradicting her previous statements. Maybe she should stop attacking Obama when he's obviously right, and her former self agrees with him.

5. Do I see another daily show montage ...

Oh, Past Bush vs. todays Bush is funny. Perhaps a little past Hillary vs. Today's Hillary would be enlightening. Of course, they could dedicate a 24-hour channel to past Romney vs. current Romney.
