Kucinich on 'This Week with George Stephanopoulos' Sunday, August 12
Submitted by davidswanson on Thu, 2007-08-09 23:18. Elections

From www.kucinich.us

Following his rousing and widely acclaimed performance at the AFL-CIO Presidential Forum in Chicago this week, Congressman and Democratic Presidential candidate will be in the national spotlight again Sunday morning (August 12) on ABC-TV's "This Week with George Stephanopoulos."

Check local TV listings for time and station in your area or Click Here: PDF.

Kucinich drew rave reviews for his straightforward and "gutsy" answers at the Tuesday night event in Chicago from commentators and analysts as politically diverse as Willie Brown, former Mayor of San Francisco, and Pat Buchanan, conservative political icon. By most news accounts, Kucinich, the only card-carrying union member among Democratic Presidential hopefuls, drew the loudest and most enthusiastic responses from the 17,000 union members at Soldier Field.

Based, in part, on Tuesday's nationally televised "debate," there are indications that Kucinich may be poised to move ahead of New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson into fourth place among Democratic contenders, behind front-runners John Edwards, Barack Obama, and Hillary Clinton.

3. and on Sept. 12, he'll be on the Ed Shultz Show
for the full three hours--Ed gave him the time to use as he'd like. Ed also made the same offer to the other candidates--Kucinich is the first to take him up on his offer.

5. That's great. Even though I'm an Edwards supporter, I'm glad to see DK getting some attention
It's important for all the candidates to be heard, not just you know who.

9. Edwards is much more issue-oriented this time than he was in 2004
I think that the Kucinich candidacy tends to push all the other candidates in that direction.

you can do it RIGHT NOW on DU/Act Blue.

It's very fast. It's very easy. Do it now!

Some are supporting Congressman Kucinich because they strongly believe he can win. Others are supporting him because they support his agenda (or at least most of it) and want those issues brought to the center of public debate. But whatever your reason Mr. Kucinich does not have the funding of the top-tier candidates. But small donations add up very fast. That's how the Dean campaign became a significant force in 2004.

So whether or not you are convinced that Congressman Kucinich could possibly win...if you want the issues Dennis Kucinich brings to the public square, if you believe his message of Strength through Peace is important, that single-payer universal health care is important, if you believe American needs fundamental changes; his campaign needs a lot more money then it has in its coffers now. He won't be getting a whole lot from the corporate lobbyist and their special interest... so ...PLEASE DONATE NOW ! you can do it RIGHT NOW on DU/Act Blue.

It's fast. It's very easy. Do it now! I did...just a few minutes ago

8. K&R "We need a president who can defend our country, but
also who knows when war is wrong and is ready to say so when it counts!"

"I think it is wrong to threaten Iran with war, I think we need to take a new approach where we use our heads..."
