The political experience of Edwards and Obama |
|
One criticism I alway hear against Edwards and Obama is their lack of political experience. Edwards served in the senate for six years and Obama is now in his third year as senator. This criticism never seems to affect Hillary, who has only been a senator for slightly longer than both of them (First Lady does not count as political experience).
And just look at the GOP candidates. Fat Fred served as senator for eight years and Mittens has only four years as governor under his belt which is, unbelievably, even less experience then our current dumbass president had when he first ran. Rudy is also a bit of a lightweight. I'm not sure if being mayor of any city, even that of New York, is enough experience for the presidency.
It seems like a double standard to me.

Most of the First Ladies of the second half of the 20th century would like a word with you.
