Just saw my first "Hillary" bumpersticker
Edited on Sat Aug-11-07 04:47 PM by UTUSN
I'm treading gingerly here, since she raises such ire here. I haven't chosen anybody at the primary level and just might not, while it goes without saying (but I'll say it anyway) that whoever gets the nomination will get my vote, as the Dem nominee always has.

So here's the deal. In my wingnut redneck area there are STILL the occasional "W" stickers to be seen, although they're practically down to nothing. And who/what pisses those jerks off more than anything? The Senator CLINTON. So, I'm going to obtain and don one, at no small risk to my vehicle.

It will sting them all the more when combined with my Vietnam Veteran license plates.

1. I have had an Edwards '08 sticker on my car for a few weeks
I am looking for an "ABC" sticker, but haven't found one yet.

3. In Canada "ABC" means "Anything But Conservative"
Edited on Sat Aug-11-07 05:12 PM by Lirwin2
I'm not sure if it has the same meaning in the US.

Edit: Just realized it probably means "Anyone But Clinton" in the US. I like the Canadian meaning better

10. Yep -- Anyone but Clinton
I simply do not like our chances if she gets the nod.

11. Better chances than if Obama/Edwards is nominated, IMO
Edited on Sat Aug-11-07 05:49 PM by Lirwin2
Clinton knows how to run a campaign. She would NOT make the same type of amateurish mistakes Obama does, and Edwards, well... we would be lucky if he could carry his home state this time around.

Also, I geuss "Anybody But Clinton" means you'll be happy to support, say, Fred Thompson over Clinton?

14. I will vote for any democratic candidate that the party nominates with the exception of her
If she gets the nod, I am just staying home. I can't and won't put that woman in the white house.

4. I would love to get one too but......
I live in a very conservative suburb and I still have some payments left on my car!! I have had my impeach bush sign on my front lawn for the past four years though. It has become so weathered, I had to replace it once so far. I refuse to take it down until that bastard is out of office. Good luck putting the sticker on though. I hope you don't get any suspicious dents in your car. LOL!! Peace.

22. If she isn't "polarizing", then why the concern?

23. Because Republicans fear her.
Coupled with the fact that they really hate her husband. It really pisses them off that he is so popular with many Americans despite the fact that they did everything to smear him. They are afraid she is going to win and be in the White House. Republicans who love the Bush family and hate the Clinton's can be a spiteful bunch. I would be afraid to put any Dem's name on my car. It is not because she is "polarizing". I like all of the Dem candidates right now. I wish I could put them in a blender and create the perfect candidate though. There are things I like about all of them....and things I don't like.

9. Exactly
If you are of the camp that believes you could incur damage to your vehicle for a Hillary sticker this far out from a nomination (much less the actual GE), then you need to admit that the meme isn't just a meme -- that the right DOES loathe the woman and will come out in droves to vote against her.

15. Bingo. I despise the DLC and consider them and all of their members my
mortal enemies. But I will have a pretty good consolation prize if Clinton wins.
I'll get to watch the fundies' heads explode. I really, REALLY would like to see that,
just not at the expense of handing the DLC the White House again.
