Howard Dean has Big Plans for Dems....
Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean brought top members of the party to his home state today. Dean's standing was given a huge boost with last year's electoral victories for the Democrats across the country. And Dean says he's only just begun to build the Democrats' power base

Dean hosted a meeting of the national party's executive committee. It was a chance to show off his home state and to tout one of his main creations, the party's State Partnership Program, or SPP. The national party program provides money as well as political expertise to Democrats on the state level. It's a welcome development among Democrats looking to boost support locally. The help in Vermont includes a communicaitons expert credited by local Democrats with building grass roots support -- and financial donations -- through the Internet.

1. I hope he does something for Florida
The Dem Party ignored us in 2006. They did nothing to help our Democrats who were challenging Repugs.

3. Are you signed up for the newsletter?
Because he already is doing something. We have good political directors paid by the DNC who are lighting a fire under the old time Dems here to get the rest of us involved.

It may not be working, but he is trying.

2. Dean's got it going on! More from article in the OP about GOP cheating in elections...
Edited on Sun Aug-12-07 08:49 AM by IndyOp
From the national level, Dean says the Democrats will use their state-level expertise to analyze every voting district in the country, to stop what he charges have been Republican vote fraud schemes. "They use vote caging, vote purging, voter intimidation, funny business about where they assign voting machines -- and even the voting machines themselves are under suspicion," Dean said.
