If Ron Paul wants to eliminate the IRS,
how does he propose supporting the few govt programs he doesn't want to do away with?

3. The free market will take care of it.
This is also how Paul would have handled Hurricane Katrina. Just wait for the market to fix it.

4. The resulting unemployment

6. Aside from being an asshole, he might be...
remembering that until the income tax, the Federal government was run almost entirely on customs and excise tax reciepts.

He's forgetting that we started the income tax because that stuff wasn't paying the bills any more.

He's also probably on that roll that says with a "fair tax" or flat tax, the tax code would be down to 2 pages and there would be no need for tax returns or an IRS to review or audit them.

But, he's still an asshole if he believes that.

7. How does he intend to retrain and remploy the zillions of people
whose livelihood depends on divining the tax code?

I can imagine the big powerful accounting firms will do their damndest to nip this idea in the bud.
