report from The Pew Research Center for the People and the Press confirms that the Republican Party's popularity has plummeted during the past decade to a 42% favorability rating (for comparison, the Democratic Party's favorability rating is 55%, and the 13% higher number for the Democrats is the biggest advantage we've enjoyed since 1992):
