A short open letter to Hillary and her supporters.
Edited on Wed Aug-15-07 04:52 PM by liberaldemocrat7
Dear Hillary

I'm one of those people invisible to YOU. Where could I find you this year when the Democrats took over congress and who could have introduced a bill to repeal the junk Medicare part D which does not help most middle class people and place the prescription drug benefit in Medicare part B which implies that the prescription drug benefit would not have any extra premiums or deductibles or coverage gaps and medication would get covered at 80 percent. In that bill I wanted you to introduce would have a repeal of the means test in Medicare Part B which will turn Medicare into Welfare care and not help the middle class. Where was the bill that would repeal the FICA tax cap at 90,000 dollars or so and tax all of a persons income for social security purposes and to exempt the first $10,000 dollars of income to help lower income people.

For other people not just me, where could they find you when people need a real minimum wage of $10 an hour and not $7.25 that will take 2 years to take effect while businesses get even more huge tax breaks in return for the paltry increase in the minimum wage?

Yes, Mr. Bush appears blind to people like me and many others especially children, but you should "know" better and do better than the third coming of Herbert Hoover.

So if you redeem yourself Senator Clinton, whose office I have called over the last number of years to see about lowering HMO costs until I bailed because the prices got too high and also asked about repeal and replacement of Medicare Part D, by introducing these 2 bills I might even support you in the New York primary.

Until then, I can't see you Mrs. Clinton. Bill, overall did a decent job as President but he did throw people on welfare under the bus because there appears a segment of society who appear stupid and mean, but Bill believed he had to pander to them to get his second term.

I don't want you to pander to this stupid and mean segment of society. This segmnent of society went to Nazi rallies in Germany in the 1930's and did nothing while Jews, lost their homes and businesses and jobs and eventually got incinerated. You Shouldn't pander to this segment in this country today.

You remain invisible to me Mrs. Clinton.

And now to direct this to everyone and not just Hillary's supporters when will you people wake up and realize that if you want to get past the flibuster and veto for the next 17 months you're going to have to threaten, yes I said threaten the contributors to the GOP with consumer boycotts.

That means calling some of the biggest contributors and making the legislative demands that the Republicans refuse to enact into law. I don't just vent for venting. I vent for action.

You can go to my website http://www.dmocrats.org and send that letter to info@gop.com and if thousands of people send it we can figuratively knock the Republicans over the left field wall for a grand slam home run.

I didn't realize Hillary had more than one vote.

6. You seem to be everywhere bashing everybody who doesn't worship her holiness
I honestly would like to know what her policy views are that make her better than the other 6 or so Democratic candidates? I believe we need to re-embrace Democratic values to save this country, we don't need more attempted Repuke-lite triangulation toward the middle-right.

9. Bashing? From someone who OP got locked for calling Hillary supporters paid, that is rich.
Here is Hillary campaign website

http://www.hillaryclinton.com/

Here is her Senate website

http://clinton.senate.gov/

There is plenty there on her policy views and positions.

If you feel she is the best, then by all means vote for her in the primary. If not feel free to vote for someone else.

Just don't think you can attack my candidate with bullshit and get away with it.

8. By staying silent on Medicare Part D and a decent minimum wage.
Edited on Wed Aug-15-07 05:20 PM by liberaldemocrat7
She should have put up a fight instead she did nothing.

I will not support her in the NY primary until she goes to the senate floor and introduces those 2 bills.

It does not appear too late. She has until January 2008.

19. But you said she was silent. My proving you lied is not hardly "milquetoast"
You want prescription drugs juggled around - - but I want cancer cured.

You're crying about minimum wage not being enough - - but I want something done about the $14,000+ we pay a year for health insurance, not counting our out of pocket expenses.

You're parsing words and receiving allocades. My husband has suffered as much as any living being can endure, and you're just not interested in his issues.

Sorry, but your issues mean nothing to those of us who truly suffer.

21. When Hillary goes on the senate floor announcing a bill to repeal and replace medicare part D
and to enact single payer Universal Health care for everyone else, then I will vote for her in the NY primary. She has until January 2008 to do so. She has plenty of time to do it.
