The Revolution Will Not Be Televised
Edited on Fri Aug-17-07 03:26 AM by rAVES
This has to be one of the best documentaries ever made! no doubt about it infact.
I really couldnt care less if its "biased" I have to listen to enough crappy Anti-Chavez Propaganda in the news.
Ive searched this place up and down and could not find it posted, so here it is I guess..

"Irish filmmakers, Kim Bartley and Donnacha O'Brian, were inside the palace making a routine documentary about Chavez when the coup began. Meanwhile, a million Chavez supporters gathered in the streets outside demanding that their leader be restored. Within 48 hours, their pleas were answered and Chavez was president again. THE REVOLUTION WILL NOT BE TELEVISED offers a fascinating inside perspective on both Chavez's popularity and the way that media can bastardize the truth for political gain."

sorry if it's a repost. and enjoy if you haven't, its pretty good quality and you might need to install divx plugin :)

1. This is a great documentary.
I've questioned Chavez lately but before commenting on him this piece of background should be mandatory viewing. The parallels with our own right wing corporate media machine are food for thought as well.

2. mandatory viewing for anyone who thinks they actually know what the hell is going on down there..
and by that I mean the posters who repeat the bullshit propaganda regarding Chavez' "seizure" of RCTV.

3. And as I posted on another thread...
This film shows that the Venezuelan people know how to take to the streets when they feel their rights have been trampled on.

If Chavez ever does get too high and mighty, you can be sure those same crowds will turn on him.

By the way, this film condemns the opposition with their own words and actions.
