4. Oregon: Clinton Struggles in Blue State Against Republican Hopefuls |
|
Turning small electoral red states blue won't help if big electoral blue states turn red.
Weren't the HRC's rejecting reference to Rasmussen yesterday?

6. You didn't see that from me...though I did question the characterization of Oregon... |
|
As a blue state...purple would be more accurate...
Kerry won with only 52%...and Gore only won by 7,000 votes (47% to 47%)...
In any case, even with the bad numbers for Hillary, she topped all but Guiliani...
I have no doubt once she turns her attention to Oregon those numbers will improve, as you have seen elsewhere...

11. Polls don't mean too much yet, except... |
|
Most polls don'tmean too much yet since it's so early. But the poll numbers that ARE consistently a little scary with Hillary are her very high negative favorability ratings. She is so well known that most people have made their minds up about her. Sure, she could swing it a little, but she'd have a damn tough time in the national GENERAL election. Hey, I like her one hell of a lot, but she's VERY risky at a time when we can afford precious few risks. Therefore I am for Edwards because he has the best chance to win the general election (and of course I like him and his ideas), and as for polls he does much better than any of the other Dems when matched against the R's. He has a much better chance than Hillary of attracting the I's and even moderate R's who are willing to give a Dem a chance in the White House. And remember, in this change environment it would be a devastating blow to our party to lose, yet again, this time.

If she's nominated, think those numbers will hold up? I guarantee you that not even she does.

21. That's pretty funny... |
|
Notice how in the two states that have had the opportunity to see Hillary consistently, and know exactly how she would/does govern...New York and Arkansas...she leads by double digits....
So the more people get to know here, the more they like her...a pattern we are seeing repeated elsewhere...

20. So both Edwards and Clinton flip true red southern states |
|
Edwards flips North Carolina (the 10th most populous state in the nation), Virginia (12th), and Kentucky (a border state considered southern by some). Notice who apparently does not flip any red states? ;)
