The poll conducted by Maryland-based Research 2000 has a margin of error of plus or minus 5 percent.

Democratic candidates largely maintained their standings compared to March.

Clinton has held a double-digit lead over U.S. Sen. Barack Obama, with 33 percent supporting Clinton and 19 percent backing Obama.

Former U.S. Sen. John Edwards gained 4 points to 15 percent since March, and New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson went from 2 percent to 11 percent after five months of campaigning in the state.
